Editors Note: As a cannabis media platform, Vermontijuana will publish letters to the editor, op-eds, and advocacy materials relevant to the cannabis community in Vermont. Email submissions to vermontijuana@gmail.com.

The following letter was drafted by a coalition of registered Vermont Hemp cultivators, processors and product-makers as a response to S.54, a bill to tax and regulate the cultivation, processing, testing and sale of the cannabis to 21+ adults in Vermont.

According to the organizers, the letter is being distributed directly starting Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 and will be shared with legislators when a significant number of signatures from registered cultivators, processors, and product-makers have been received.
