Vermont Hempicurean Open New Location with Vermont Grow Barn in Brattleboro

After spending the last six years as the hub leading the charge for independent retail cannabis in Brattleboro, the Vermont Hempicurean has successfully moved and expanded its operation with a new location and the opening of the Vermont Grow Barn at 257 Marlboro Road in Brattleboro at the former American Traders building.

In addition to the location’s proximity to Interstate 91 and Route 9, one of the appeals of the new building was the space for Sparks to host the Vermont Hempicurean, as well as expand the cannabis grow supply business he previously started at the Vermont Hempicurean location in downtown Brattleboro.
As a pioneering voice in Southern Vermont’s legal cannabis scene, Sparks has never hidden his goal to open an independent THC cannabis retail store in the Brattleboro area, and is hopeful that the new expanded location will not only host the Vermont Grow Barn, but also a future retailer called the Vermont Bud Barn.
Brattleboro already hosts a corporate-owned medical dispensary and as Vermont’s most politically-liberal city, easily-approved THC retail sales in March 2021. However, Sparks and other would-be retailers are still awaiting final legislative rule-making before learning exactly how much a THC cannabis-retail license will cost.
